Artist Statement 

Up in the Clouds explores the ethereal beauty and whimsical nature of the sky. The vibrant pink colour palette creates a sense of enchantment and wonder, drawing viewers into a dreamlike world.

At the center of the composition, a human hand emerges from one of the clouds on the left. This hand symbolises our connection to the intangible and the surreal. It represents the power of imagination and the ability to reach for the extraordinary.  

Perched delicately on the pointer finger of the hand is butterfly, a symbol of transformation and freedom. The butterfly's presence adds a touch of delicacy and grace to the composition, further emphasising the ethereal nature of the nature of the scene.

In the bottom right corner of the collage, white mushrooms emerge, creating a sense of grounding and balance. These mushrooms represent the connection between the earthly and the celestial realms, bridging the gap between the tangible and the intangible.

Up in the Clouds invites viewers to escape the confines of reality and embrace the limitless possibilities of the imagination. It encourages us to explore the beauty and magic that can be found in the most unexpected places, reminding us to always reach for the sky and embrace the extraordinary in our lives.
